The purpose of mankind

"So now, Israel, all that Adonai your God asks from you is to fear Adonai your God, follow all His ways, love Him and serve Adonai your God with all your heart and all your being; to obey, for your own good, the mitzvot and regulations of Adonai which I am giving you today." Dvarim (Deuteronomy) 10:12-13 CJB

"...There, choose life, so that you will live, you and your descendants, loving Adonai your God, paying attetntion to what He says and clinging to Him - for that is the purpose of your life..." Dvarim (Deuteronomy) 30:19-20 CJB

"Human being, you have already been told what is good, what Adonai demands of you - no more than to act justly, love grace and walk in purity with your God." Mikhah (Micah) 6:8 CJB

"Here is the final conclusion, now that you have heard everything: fear God, and keep His mitzvot; this is what being human is all about." Kohelet (Ecclesiastes) 12:13

Using these verses we can extract 3 premises on the purpose of mankind:

- To fear, love and serve Adonai our God

- To obey all His Torah (law)

- To live a righteous life; a life of justice, mercy and walking in purity with our God
