Devotional

"The storm has passed, the wicked are gone; but the righteous are firmly established forever." Mishlei (Proverbs) 10:25
"The wicked are brought down by their wrongdoing, but the righteous can be confident even at death." Mishlei (Proverbs) 14:33
"If you slack off on a day of distress, your strength is small indeed." Mishlei (Proverbs) 24:10
"For though he falls seven times, he will get up again; it's the wicked who fail under stress." Mishlei (Proverbs) 24:16

According to what is written in Proverbs, one of the things that makes the children of God stand out from the rest of the world is that when difficult times/calamities come, they are not permanently broken down, but get back up again and continue with the fight of life. Why? Because we have a living hope; a hope that there is an eternal future for those who love God and the faith in a God who never fails. This is more than enough of a reason for us to get back up again. We have a reason to live, and that reason is our God.

So be strong and brave; don't be afraid, don't slack on your job in God's harvest. Get back up again.
