Devotional

"Rather than wealth, choose a good reputation, esteem over silver and gold." Mishlei (Proverbs) 22:1

Having a good reputation is more important than you think. And it doesn't mean that we ought to rely on other people's opinion about us, thus doing what other people want. It's quite different, having a good reputation means setting an example to follow; to be a role model. As children of God, people will know what it means to serve God by the way we live. By living righteously, we mirror God's Word the right way. However, if we act foolishly (against God's Word), we can stain God's image and Word. Therefore, we must consider what we are going to do or say, before we do or say it. The best and easiest way to check ourselves before making a decision or acting is by asking ourselves just one simple question:

What would Yeshua (Jesus) do?
